Mogens Voltelen was among other things employed by Poul Henningsen and Vilhelm Lauritzen. With his friend PH he was able to unfold his social and design engagement, which resulted in a lifelong interest in lighting, and he was included in the cultural radical movement in Denmark.
He also designed furniture for cabinetmaker Niels Vodder.
